Tara Cardinal, MN, CNM, ARNP is a certified nurse midwife in private clinical practice providing sexual and reproductive healthcare across the lifespan. As a member of the Training, Education and Advocacy in Miscarriage Management (TEAMM) project, she supports efforts to advance evidence-based miscarriage management care locally and nationally. She is a former coordinator of the UWMC Doula Care program where she strengthened its structure and sustainability. Her advocacy and research interests include the impact of poverty and violence on childbearing, adverse childhood experiences, miscarriage management, maternal health across cultures and scope of practice for advanced practice clinicians. She has worked internationally with midwives in the Netherlands, Ecuador and Mexico and taught English in Chile. She received her MN in Nurse Midwifery from the University of Washington in 2012.
