Stephanie Tillman (CNM, MSN) NSSRH Senior Co-Chair, completed the Masters of Science in Nursing program at Yale University with a specialty in Midwifery, and currently practices in Chicago, IL. She is a former participant in the National Health Service corps, and continues to work in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with largely Spanish speaking women and families. She is a Clinical Instructor with the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), and precepts Midwifery and Nurse Practitioner Students as well as Family Practice Residents.
Stephanie writes the blog “Feminist Midwife,” which critiques healthcare infrastructures, provider education, and promotes humanization of care provision. She also serves on the Boards of Directors for the American College of Nurse Midwives (ACNM) and the Midwest Access Project (MAP). She believes that nurses, midwives, and nurse practitioners are front line providers in reproductive healthcare, and is thrilled to be working with NSSRH in establishing provider training, promoting choice, and galvanizing conversations around access.
