Holly Carpenter is a full-spectrum CNM/WHNP who recently graduated from the University of California, San Francisco. She is a founder and former co-director of the Bay Area Doula Project, and former co-coordinator of the UCSF Nursing Students for Choice chapter. Originally from northern Idaho, she attended undergraduate studies at Pitzer College and worked in various reproductive health settings, including Planned Parenthood, Americorps, Exhale, the California Family Health Council, and San Francisco General Hospital. She has served as the student representative on the Clinicians for Choice advisory board, as an Osher Scholar at UCSF, and as a conference ambassador at the Association for Reproductive Health Professionals annual conference.
She currently works at an IHS hospital and Planned Parenthood. Her research interests include abortion and reproductive health in nursing education, full-spectrum midwifery, out of hospital birth, and adolescent reproductive health education.
