Danielle Sinkford,Treasurer, (RN, PHN) is pursuing her Masters of Science at the University of California, San Francisco. She expects to graduate with her M.S./FNP Spring 2015. Prior to starting school she worked for three years as an interviewer for the UCSF Turnaway Study, a national study examining the consequences of being denied abortion services. She also volunteered at the Women’s Community Clinic in San Francisco with the aim of providing non-judgemental healthcare to under and uninsured women.
She earned her undergraduate degree in international development and Spanish, which she utilized as a Peace Corp volunteer in rural Nicaragua. While there, she focused on sexual and reproductive health education with all facets of the community. She is the co-facilitator of the UCSF NSFC chapter. Danielle plans to continue focusing on sexual reproductive health care and integrating abortion services as a piece of a comprehensive women’s health practice.
