Annelle Taylor (MSN, NP-C, WHNP-BC), completed the MSN program in Women’s Health and Adult Primary Care at the Yale School of Nursing in 2010 and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Nursing Students for Sexual and Reproductive Health (formerly Nursing Students for Choice) since it was formalized in 2008. She is currently working as an NP at a family-centered community health clinic in the South Bronx where she remains after completing her term as a National Health Service Corps participant. As a student at Yale, she co-coordinated the Nursing Students for Sexual and Reproductive Health (NSSRH) chapter and worked to bring reproductive health and justice events to campus and to get NSSRH students to conferences and events on abortion and reproductive justice. She also trained in manual vacuum aspiration and served one year as the student liaison between Clinicians for Choice and NSSRH. It is her dream that one day both medical and surgical abortions will be within the scope of practice of nurse practitioners in all states.
